Issue Position

We should be proud that we have a nation that people from all over the world are trying to get into so they can experience the American dream. But illegal immigration is turning the American dream into the American handout. American jobs and benefits should not go to those who don't respect the rule of law. The first step in protecting these jobs and benefits is securing our border. I will fight to make sure that this happens. I will also fight to remove any incentives for people to come here illegally. Illegal immigrants should not receive benefits paid for by hard working Americans.
